Dreary sky and a quick update

Last Sunday's dreary weather.



Happy Halloween people. I don't have anything as close to Halloween to post this year.

But, just a quick update, I've been busy. (I know, I've said that a million times!) But really. I just realized my trip is in about 7 weeks and I haven't fully prepared!!

I'm printing out some maps and will later mark the places I'm going to visit. Will do 1 city a week and hope I finish in time. Doing a lot of day trips this year so that adds to the list of maps I need to prepare.=_=

I've also been totally missing all my scheduled posts on my photoblog so I will probably move those to another date since I missed some of the memes. :O

It rained quite a lot for a couple of hours but it eventually subsided. :3

That amount of clouds... is just crazy! x_X

Sunday Shopping Spree

What I love about weekends: late nights watching my favourite series, waking up past noon, coffee (for a year now I've been cutting back on coffee and drink it only on weekends. There are reasons for this -- my previous daily coffee consumption caused the following things: frequently waking up between sleep, sleeping 8hours but wake up feeling like I've slept only 6hrs, frequent headaches when I miss / have my coffee at a later time, neck pain -- which went away months after I cut down on caffeine, and (my sudden) low bone density when I randomly had it checked once. Even though I love milk and take calcium supplements.), and blah.
Today I went shopping. X3 I don't shop often, only once in a while. Lately it has become more frequent. :O

Will post my haul sometime next week when I have time to photograph them.:3

The weather has been good today after a week of gloomy/rainy weather. :D
It's past 12 and today's officially my birthday. Not too enthusiastic about turning twenty something and my birthday doesn't change the fact that I still have to go to work tomorrow. x_x

The sumikkogurashi stickers are simply adorable (looks like a cross between Purin and Monokuroboo)!! But so are the other samples which I haven't tried! When I went to Taiwan to study before they used to give free samples outside shops and along some shopping streets. Here they don't give samples for free, you usually get them after buying some products from a store. XD But anyway I've always wanted to try some of these products.

Beautiful Weekend Sunset

Sunsets are almost always magical.



The clouds look amazing.





And I just love this warm balmy colour...



and staring into that vast expanse of sea, wondering where it meets the sky.

Beautiful day

The sky was so blue.



The harbour and its calm waters.

It's actually my university's colour, after they won the championships I wanted to join in on the festive school spirit so I wore green! :D

A day at the post office

Feeling all touristy and snapping away at the post office today.



Would you believe I have never been here?



Ancient-looking postboxes



There was no one here.. Everything was old.

The post office was huge, with a high ceiling, and tons of windows!! (There was even one for telegrams-- surprising!! Apparently there are people who still use this method of communication! :O)

Sadly, I have no photos to show you because *they* forbade photography. (Why??)

So I had to resort to photos outside.

Finally got my package, and to my surprise it has been there since October 2!

I only got the final notice for the pick up today.:3 So I had to rush and get it.



Nevertheless, I'm glad I got it in time.>_<

Photography - weekend shots, more breathtaking views

Yesterday afternoon was mostly grey and foggy.



But soon after, the skies have started to clear up and I was greeted with this breathtaking view.



Watched the sun go down. It was absolutely beautiful.



This is what I like spending part of my weekend on.

I love how the sky casts this sheer gloss on the water.



What I see from my room window amazes me again and again. Which is why I always keep my camera ready.xD

A Sparkly New Guitar + Stunning Skies

Photo from last night. I quite liked the glow and took a snap.



Was out to get myself a new guitar last night. (Heh, finally!!)

Extremely overjoyed by the thought of it. >_<

..

And here it is. xD



Did not get a strap for my guitar, I am making one instead. xD Will be going through scraps of clothing and stuff that I no longer use. Denim should make a good strap, eh?

Unfortunately the guitar I got has only one strap button along the base...

So I am still figuring out how to attach the other end.n_n" Would prefer not having another drilled into the neck part as it might affect the make of the guitar.

Have not played a steel-string guitar for quite some time now and my (left) fingers are sore from over-playing.>_<

Nylon strings are a breeze after getting used to steel-string. I have also gotten used to the classical guitar's wide neck and frets.. Lol. Since my old cheap acoustic one broke, I have been playing on classical which is still in great condition.


So I decided to do some finger exercise (which I never manage to finish as I get bored easily... and never get to play without mistakes! :P)

While looking for some picks to use (which I am not quite used to either as I prefer to do without it), I decided to take some photos:



The red one is a pick I got from when I first started playing.



The other ones I picked up from my travels, at least, when I happen to chance upon a music store.


This one is pretty cool..and I could never get myself to use this one.:P




Lol, and that's pretty much it for the guitar. Will probably post more next week. But for now I am taking a break as it won't do my fingers any good.:P
