Random moon shots from my phone

The moon was so beautiful this evening -- but I didn't have my camera with me so I used my phone.

It looks pathetic. XD But really, with the clouds hovering about it, it made the perfect photo.

It was hanging so low, and peeking out of these tall buildings.

I have a fascination with the moon.XD

..

Anyway, until my next post!

A day at the post office

Feeling all touristy and snapping away at the post office today.

Would you believe I have never been here?

Ancient-looking postboxes

There was no one here.. Everything was old.

This was taken from the entrance.

The post office was huge, with a high ceiling, and tons of windows!! (There was even one for telegrams-- surprising!! Apparently there are people who still use this method of communication! :O)

Sadly, I have no photos to show you because *they* forbade photography. (Why??)

So I had to resort to photos outside.

View opposite the post office.

There was a statue of a mailman in front.

Photo of the moon so early in the day!

-

Finally got my package, and to my surprise it has been there since October 2!

I only got the final notice for the pick up today.:3 So I had to rush and get it.

Nevertheless, I'm glad I got it in time.>_<

Food Review :: C2 - Classic Cuisine

Last night's dinner:

They have these on the ceiling, which I like.

Over there is their kitchen,

And here comes our food!

This one here is called a Walastik. It is primarily strips of beef, some pork, etc, in sweet sauce. It is served with Onion rings and some veg on the side.

Tasted marvelous.

-

Also had some Laing, which consisted of vegetables, in coconut sauce. It's a spicy one, this dish. But that makes it even better!

-

Ordered soup as well, this one is called Sinigang na Bangus, it's a saltyXsour soup (sometimes spicy too, but not all). Normally you'd have a choice of Pork, or Milkfish (locally referred to as Bangus).

-

The best thing to go with these, is Garlic Rice.

It boosts one's appetite a whole lot.. I think so anyway.

-

It's a pretty nice quiet little place to have dinner. Well, not very cozy when it's packed, but food is great.

A Sparkly New Guitar + Stunning Skies

Photo from last night. I quite liked the glow and took a snap.

Was out to get myself a new guitar last night. (Heh, finally!!)

Extremely overjoyed by the thought of it. >_<

..

And here it is. xD

Did not get a strap for my guitar, I am making one instead. xD Will be going through scraps of clothing and stuff that I no longer use. Denim should make a good strap, eh?

Unfortunately the guitar I got has only one strap button along the base...

So I am still figuring out how to attach the other end.n_n" Would prefer not having another drilled into the neck part as it might affect the make of the guitar.

--

Have not played a steel-string guitar for quite some time now and my (left) fingers are sore from over-playing.>_<

Nylon strings are a breeze after getting used to steel-string. I have also gotten used to the classical guitar's wide neck and frets.. Lol. Since my old cheap acoustic one broke, I have been playing on classical which is still in great condition.

So I decided to do some finger exercise (which I never manage to finish as I get bored easily... and never get to play without mistakes! :P)

While looking for some picks to use (which I am not quite used to either as I prefer to do without it), I decided to take some photos:

The red one is a pick I got from when I first started playing.

The other ones I picked up from my travels, at least, when I happen to chance upon a music store.

This one is pretty cool..and I could never get myself to use this one.:P

Lol, and that's pretty much it for the guitar. Will probably post more next week. But for now I am taking a break as it won't do my fingers any good.:P

~

Bought a giant Hello Panda goodness.

10 packs enough to last me for a week. Lol.

~

And of course, not to miss are my sky shots, taken earlier.

Sky looked extremely blue this afternoon.

Here, as the sun was setting. The sky, a lovely shade.

Photo with the sun shining through.

And another.

Reminds me of Tomohiro's travel to Switzerland. The sky looked wonderful. Looked somehow close to this, except it overlooked the plains.

Photography: Dusk and the Moonlit Night

Skies from 2011/05/10:

Beautiful play of colours.

[left] and [right] images were shot seconds apart. :D

~

Bought this last week:

It's been ages since I last had Andes choc. This still is my favourite flavour! :D

It's this small, 28 pieces in a box.

A little more expensive than Meiji's Meltykiss.

But the consistency of their chocs are pretty different, so I can't really compare.

More moon photos from me this week. :D

2011/05/14 Saturday:

[one more moon photo coming up at the end of this post!]

~

Stocked up on some coffee Saturday evening..

I was drinking this yesterday afternoon:

It's the second time I drank something from this brand, Sangaria.

Last time I had Ichigo au Lait [イチゴオレ] = Strawberry Milk. It was lovely!

So this time I tried their coffee, they have loads of different blends too.

It had a good smell, the taste was to my liking. [Definitely better than the Suntory Boss I had last time!:D]

I will definitely buy again.:P

~

So, here are more unnecessary things I chanced upon:

Yes, it's duct tape!:D What I'd do with it, I do not know. I like the colour. I think I will use it to patch up some stuff in my room, or seal boxes.

..

And this, can you guess what it is?

It's a heavy duty adhesive thingy...

Mounting tape, it says.

I love Scotch products.O_O

Like it says, no more nails! :D

Oh, and what's good about it is you can use it outdoors, rainproof and all.>_<" ~ My friends know how crazy I can be about paper thingies I keep and handouts.

This is what I do on weeekends.

Ever since I learned how to bookbind I have been binding everything! And most of them have survived the worst flips and falls.

I have been binding since .. as long as I can remember! :P

It keeps my stuff neat. [These are some of the German language exercises I got recently.]

It takes about half a day for the spine to harden and dry (depending on the weather). Here it is drying.:D

..

I also found a book on 関西弁 recently. I love love Kansai.:D 関西弁のアックセント可愛いだと思う、大好きや。

Haha, my normal japanese isn't even that good yet and I'm jumping to another form.

I should probably keep this for later. :D

~

I should stop buying things I don't need! T_T

Mini speakers. They were cute so I bought them!

My psp doesn't actually need them because it already comes with its own built-in speakers.

Lol, but my old Apacer MP3 Player probably does. :P

The sound that comes out is not very loud though, it's meant for your own ear I guess.

~

I watched the sunset yesterday. It was beautiful.

Yesterday was exceptional. いい天気や。

I love how warm this looks:

..the calm blue skies mixing in with the setting sun's fiery colour.

..Can you imagine India in this photo?

..Such a beautiful colour. It looks like a lake, with mountains in the background.

It's actually the sky!

~

As promised, here's the moon shot from yesterday evening.

Looks creepy.. somewhat. But I love this shot and how the moon silhouettes the branches.

Can you see how the moon has changed in just one day? ;P

~

Until then.:D
